Free vs Pro: what changes?
ShopThePost Free is designed to be genuinely usable on a real WordPress website. Pro removes the publishing limits and adds Instagram and TikTok Sync, analytics, customization and advanced administration controls.

Free
Who is the Free edition for?
Use ShopThePost Free when you want to create a real shoppable WordPress feed manually without paying for a subscription. It includes the core image, video, carousel and product-tagging workflow.
15 new posts every month
Create up to 15 new shoppable posts during each calendar month. The allowance resets automatically when the next month begins.
Your old posts stay live
Reaching the monthly creation limit does not remove or hide content you already published. Existing posts also remain editable.
Use real products
Tag WooCommerce products or add affiliate and external product links to your ShopThePost content.
Photos, video and carousels
Free supports up to 3 images and 1 video per post, including a mixed carousel.
Unused Free post allowance does not accumulate. If you create 7 of your 15 posts this month, the remaining 8 are not added to the following month’s allowance. The next month begins again with 15 available new posts.
Free supports up to 2 product tags total for the complete post. This is a per-post limit, not 2 tags for every carousel slide.
The Free edition includes permanent CreateFor.Me / ShopThePost branding under the public feed and inside the product popup. Removing this branding is a Pro feature.
ShopThePost Free is intended to be usable on real commercial WordPress and WooCommerce websites within the Free limits.

When does Pro become useful?
Upgrade when manual publishing starts slowing you down, when you need more than 15 new posts per month, or when you want your Instagram and TikTok content to become part of your WordPress feed automatically.
Publish without limits
Pro removes the Free monthly publishing allowance and provides unlimited shoppable posts, unlimited categories and unlimited product tagging.
Instagram Sync
Connect a supported Instagram professional account and import photo posts, carousel content and supported videos or Reels into ShopThePost.
TikTok Sync
Connect TikTok and bring your public TikTok content into ShopThePost, keeping imported content in chronological order and allowing products to be added afterward.
Automatic social checks
Pro can periodically check connected social accounts for newly published content so you do not have to manually recreate every post.
Match your brand
Customize feed backgrounds, titles, product pins and button colors, and remove CreateFor.Me branding from the frontend.
Measure interaction
Review aggregate ShopThePost views and product or link interactions with weekly and monthly reporting.
Delegate safely
Choose which WordPress roles are allowed to access and manage ShopThePost inside the admin area.
Pro licensing + updates
ShopThePost Pro uses Freemius licensing and supports automatic Pro plugin updates.
Pro social sync
Instagram and TikTok are Pro-only automation features.
Free users create ShopThePost content manually. Pro users can additionally connect supported social accounts and use existing social content as the starting point for shoppable WordPress posts.
Instagram Sync
- Connect a supported Instagram professional account.
- Import Instagram photo posts.
- Import complete Instagram carousel posts.
- Import supported Instagram videos and Reels.
- Keep carousel slides visible even when individual slides have no product tags.
- Add WooCommerce, affiliate or external products after import.
- Imported posts may appear in the feed before products are tagged.
TikTok Sync
- Connect a TikTok account through the supported TikTok integration.
- Import public TikTok videos into ShopThePost.
- Preserve the chronological order of imported TikTok content.
- Add product tags and links to imported TikTok posts.
- Periodically check the connected account for new public TikTok content.
ShopThePost uses its social integrations to retrieve authorized content for the ShopThePost workflow. The synchronization features do not exist to publish, edit or delete content on the user’s Instagram or TikTok account.
Upgrade
Moving from Free to Pro.
Install and activate ShopThePost Pro and complete the Freemius license activation. Your existing ShopThePost content should remain available during the Free-to-Pro transition.
Choose the $8.99/month Pro subscription and complete checkout.
Upload and activate the Pro edition on the WordPress website where you already use ShopThePost.
Complete the Pro license activation so the paid features and automatic updates are available.
Customize colors, analytics and admin permissions, or connect Instagram and TikTok when those integrations are available for your account.
You should not need to recreate your ShopThePost posts simply because you are upgrading from Free to Pro.
Important distinction
What “unlimited” means in these docs.
ShopThePost Pro is described as unlimited for shoppable posts, categories and product tags. This documentation does not describe every possible Pro media or carousel dimension as technically unlimited unless that specific limit is explicitly established by the current plugin.
The practical difference is that Free has fixed monthly, tagging, category and media limits, while Pro removes the primary publishing limits and provides the expanded social-sync, customization, analytics and administration features documented above.
