ShopThePost is a WordPress plugin provided by Mas Import EOOD through CreateFor.Me. ShopThePost allows website owners to create shoppable content feeds by uploading content directly or connecting supported social media accounts, including TikTok and Instagram.

This Privacy Policy explains how ShopThePost processes information when you use the plugin and its social media integrations.

Mas Import EOOD is responsible for the processing of information described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Process

WordPress and ShopThePost Data

When you use ShopThePost, the plugin may process information necessary to provide its functionality, including:

  • ShopThePost posts and media;
  • product tags;
  • WooCommerce product references;
  • affiliate or external product links;
  • plugin settings;
  • social media connection status; and
  • information required to synchronize authorized social media content.

Most ShopThePost content and configuration data is stored on the WordPress website where the plugin is installed.

3. TikTok Integration

ShopThePost allows users to voluntarily connect their own TikTok account.

TikTok authorization is performed using TikTok Login Kit.

ShopThePost currently requests the following TikTok permissions:

user.info.basic

This permission is used to identify the TikTok account connected by the user and to display basic account information within the ShopThePost administration interface.

video.list

This permission is used to retrieve the authorized user’s public TikTok videos so they can be displayed or imported into the user’s ShopThePost feed.

Depending on the information made available by TikTok, ShopThePost may process information such as:

  • TikTok user/account identifier;
  • display name or username;
  • profile information made available through the authorized scope;
  • public TikTok video identifiers;
  • video titles or descriptions;
  • video creation dates;
  • video cover images;
  • TikTok video links;
  • TikTok embed information; and
  • other public video metadata made available through the authorized TikTok API.

ShopThePost uses this information only to provide the TikTok synchronization and display features requested by the user.

4. What ShopThePost Does With TikTok Data

TikTok information may be used to:

  • connect the user’s TikTok account to ShopThePost;
  • identify the connected account;
  • retrieve the user’s public TikTok videos;
  • import the latest 3, 6, or 9 videos;
  • periodically check for newly published public videos when automatic synchronization is enabled;
  • display TikTok content in a ShopThePost feed;
  • preserve the chronological order of imported TikTok content; and
  • allow the website owner to associate products or external product links with imported content.

ShopThePost does not use the TikTok integration to publish, modify, or delete content on the user’s TikTok account.

The TikTok access provided to ShopThePost is read-only for the functionality described above.

5. TikTok Authentication and Tokens

TikTok authentication is handled through the CreateFor.Me connection service operated by Mas Import LTD.

TikTok access and refresh tokens are not stored in the customer’s WordPress installation.

Authentication credentials are stored by the CreateFor.Me connection service and are used only to maintain the connection requested by the user and communicate with TikTok’s APIs.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect authentication credentials and other information processed by the connection service.

6. Instagram Integration

ShopThePost may also allow users to connect an Instagram account through Meta’s authorized APIs.

Where this feature is used, ShopThePost may process authorized account information and public media required to synchronize Instagram posts with the user’s ShopThePost feed.

Instagram and TikTok connections operate independently. A user is not required to connect both services.

7. Product Tagging

After content has been imported or uploaded, the website owner may associate it with:

  • WooCommerce products;
  • affiliate products; or
  • external product links.

These product associations are created by the website owner and are not sent to TikTok merely because TikTok content has been imported.

8. Automatic Synchronization

If automatic social synchronization is enabled, ShopThePost may periodically request new authorized content from the applicable social media service.

For TikTok, users may choose supported synchronization intervals such as every 1 hour, 6 hours, or 24 hours.

Automatic synchronization can be disabled by the website owner.

9. Sharing of Information

We do not sell TikTok Platform Data.

We do not use TikTok Platform Data for unrelated advertising or data-broker activities.

Information may be processed by service providers where reasonably necessary to operate, host, secure, or maintain ShopThePost and the CreateFor.Me connection infrastructure.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

10. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ShopThePost, maintain an authorized social media connection, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security of our services.

Content imported into a user’s WordPress website may remain on that WordPress installation until the website owner deletes it.

Disconnecting TikTok prevents ShopThePost from continuing to use the connection to retrieve new TikTok content. Content that has already been imported into WordPress may remain on the user’s website until the website owner removes it.

11. Disconnecting TikTok

Users may disconnect their TikTok account from the ShopThePost TikTok Sync interface.

Disconnecting the account prevents future synchronization through that connection.

Users may also manage or revoke permissions through TikTok where supported.

12. Data Deletion Requests

Users may request deletion of information associated with their ShopThePost social media connection.

Where applicable, we will delete or de-identify information held by the CreateFor.Me connection service unless retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or another lawful purpose.

Users should separately delete imported ShopThePost posts or media stored on their own WordPress installation if they also want those local copies removed.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through ShopThePost and the CreateFor.Me connection service.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for their own WordPress websites and administrator accounts.

14. Third-Party Services

ShopThePost integrates with third-party services including TikTok, Meta/Instagram, WordPress, WooCommerce, and potentially other services selected by the website owner.

Use of those third-party services is also subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

ShopThePost is an independent service and is not owned, operated, sponsored, or endorsed by TikTok or Meta.

15. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may provide rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other information about processing.

You may contact us to exercise applicable rights.

16. Children

ShopThePost is a business and website-owner tool and is not designed or intended for children.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ShopThePost changes, when integrations are added or modified, or when legal or platform requirements change.

The updated version will be published on CreateFor.Me with a revised “Last updated” date.
